Reflection & Implementation in the Club Scene

Hosted by Christine Kakaire
– Kikelomo (Oroko Radio)
– Hendrik Wolff (Krake Festival)
– Max Fritz (Groove Magazin)

Our dancefloors have undergone a transformation since the reopening of nightlife 12 months ago. Now that critical yet traditionally overlooked elements of the scene have been repositioned at the forefront (awareness teams, politically positioned communities, new media platforms), the question remains: how do we ensure this is a holistic shift rather than a passing trend? With whom does this responsibility lie? And how can we integrate this in the face of economic instability?

Ghostwriting and Co-Producing
A legit way to create a next level track?

Hosted by Caroline Whiteley
– Raphael Pujol (Beatport)
– Sasha Elsewhere (Perera Elsewhere)
– Bradley Hutchings (Guava)
– Tijana T

From Drake coming under fire for using ghostwriters to your favourite DJ being accused of not making their own tracks, it seems that ghostwriting is still taboo in the industry. And all of this becomes even murkier with the advent of artificial intelligence, questioning the artist's role altogether.

We sit with some of the industry's leading figures to discuss the benefits and pitfalls of ghost-producing, both from the perspective of the producer in the studio and the artist on stage. In the session we'll raise questions about supplementing your income streams, ownership, and the value our culture places on authenticity.

Sex positivity, Awareness & Safety on Our Dancefloors

Hosted by Amanda Sandström Beijer (Playful Magazine)
– Killa (Lecken)
– Karl (Klub Verboten)
– Rafi (TS Raver)

While Berlin has implanted itself as a hub for sex positive parties & liberating dancefloors, we’ve undergone a broad transformation in our party practices. The responsibility of running such events has many aspects: security, safer spaces, drug use and abuse: while we need to control the dancefloor in some ways, the core element, freedom, has gone through a multitude of changes with new structures and concepts.

How do we provide security while ensuring the hedonistic practices of the guests? What are the responsibilities of an awareness team and how should they cooperate with promoters and clubs? And finally, what can we learn from one another and how can we educate audiences? We chat with Berlin & London’s key figures of sex positive parties & awareness teams to find out.

Detailed schedule for Berlin Talks will be announced via our social media channels a few days prior to the event.
